my pc dont have 2 plugs only one but i was thougt that the single plug worked too but my pc wont dettect it how 2 fix?

my pc dosent have a blue and pink plug only one but the icon is a headseat with a mic
and i was thougt that the single plug worked too but my pc wont dettect the built in mic skype wont even show it in audeo settings could someone help me please

You can try going into your sound settings by right clicking on the volume icon at the bottom left of your screen, click recording devices and setting your microphone as the default recording device, and enabling it. Do the same for the playback tab
