My samsung note 4 was stolen and my husband tried to install lost android app but the app kept detecting his phone instead of mine even though he signed in using my gmail. What else can be done to find my mobile? If the thief had changed my gmail does it mean that I can't locate my phone?

Tell your mobile provider. They will determine if it is your phone or not and they will track it.
