My screen looks like an X-Ray how do I fix it?

I haven't used my computer for anything but writing and music. But all of a sudden it looks like an ex ray and I cant seem to get it back to normal. I tried to restart it but it just made it darker. I can't really see the the screen. The start up is White backround with blue or cyan lettering. If any one has an idea what it is and how to fix it i would apriciate the help.. Please help... Thank you

Check the connections round the back of the PC case and the monitor. Something might be loose if you're seeing at least some reaction.

If the monitor connects to a horizontal plug and you can feel the whole card moving, power the machine down and check inside that the card is secure.
