1 – Press the Windows+S key combination to open the “Search” box.

2 – Type folder into the Search box, then select Folder Options from the list of search results. The “Folder Options” window should open.

3 – Select the View tab.

4 – Under “Advanced Settings”, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.

5 – Click Apply, then click Ok.

use m3datarecovery to recover the files first...

this is one of the best softwares out there... http://www.m3datarecovery.com/
but you need to get hold of the full version...

this is a step by step instruction... http://www.m3datarecovery.com/data-recovery/online-help...

the method you should be looking for is..."How to recover deleted or lost partition?"....
it is towards the middle of the instruction page...

once that has been done, clean format the sd through cmd...

for driver updates use driver booster...

I installed m3datarecovery and I was allowed to only recover 1 GB worth of files, but after I recovered that 1GB worth of space, there were folders named gif graphic file, video audio graphic file, jpeg graphic file, etc. and videos, mp3's and gifs but they could'nt be opened
