my tablet no longer to usb mount mass storage anymore and wont allow me to select it manualy

My tablet used to offer USB mass storage when connected to my computer but now only charges when connected, so I go into settings and try to manually select it and that option is not highlighter as an option help

Easy!

1. For Android 2.3 or older, go to Settings, Applications, Development. Check "USB debugging".
2. For 3.0-4.1, go to Settings, Developer Options. Check "USB debugging."
3. For 4.2 and up, go to Settings, About Phone, Build Number. Click Build Number several times until you see the note "You are in developer mode". Go back to Settings, Developer Options, and viola! Check "USB Debugging."
