My toshiba laptop does not come on The indicator light comes on for only a few s

when I turn my power button on, the power button does not come on, the indicator lights come on for 5 seconds and shuts off . My laptop is a Toshiba. The last thing my computer said before shutting down was battery low and it went to stand by. Then my computer shut down and hasnt worked since.
