Need a quick simple answer on HDD

Solution
Nope. That's a 3.5" hard disk, suited for desktops.

You need a 2.5" hard disk for laptops. Since you're looking at 1 TB capacity, you need to also ensure that the drive is of 9.5 mm height. This is important because some models of 1 TB laptop HDDs come with a 12.5 mm height, which will not fit.

I have the same, and am happy with it.

Bear in mind, however, that HDD prices have increased dramatically, and will not normalize for another 1-2 quarters, due to flooding in Thailand. If you can wait that long, you can save a significant amount.

This is a Samsung 1 TB 2.5" HDD, with 9.5 mm height, and is much cheaper than the Western Digital.
