Need Advice on Headset

Hello everyone,

I would like to buy the Steel Series Siberia V2 Headset. I will use it for gaming and listening to music.

I have a built-in sound card only. (Realtek HD Audio). The one that comes with Asus P8P67 Pro.

I am worried that I will not be able to enjoy a good headset because of my built-in sound card.

Can anyone confirm if this is true? Or will the sound be OK? Im not really an audiophile, just wanted a headset that is comfortable, with good sound and will seperate me from outside noise.

most onboard soundcards are adequate.

if you arent an audiophile you should be fine.

if it turns out that its not sufficient then plan for a soundcard upgrade at a later date.

I used on board sound witha good set of headphones and sound is excellent unless as stated in other post your obseeive about sound the onboard sound is fine
