Need Help Connecting Powered Bookshelf Speakers to A/V Receiver

You dont.
The Denon is an receiper & amp combo outputting 75w per channel which would likely destroy your powered speakers and possibly take the amp out with it.

They are the same, one has a shield/ground and adapter, the other is just a bare wire.

You could buy some RCA - Speaker adapters to save your speakers...

Or you could just cut them off.

any suggestions on an adapter? sorry I'm new to this

You're new to cutting wires?

Popatim is totally right though, they are POWERED speakers?
They better not be powered when you plug them into your receiver...

Ok, so then its not possible? or would an adapter fix the issue?

If your speakers are powered, they are not designed to be plugged into an amp. They are designed to be plugged into eg MP3 player, FM tuner, turntable...

The RCA connector on them was placed intentionally, just for that purpose - to prevent people from connecting speaker wire coming from an amplifier to them.

Only the right speaker can be plugged into your amp, but that's not likely to solve your problem.
