need help finding a free program somewhat like sony vegas

hey there everybody i have been doing youtube since the start of january this year and figure i step up my game and make my content better. i was wondering if anybody knows any free program that is somewhat like sony vegas. i also want the program to be safe to use and be malware safe and just legit in general. if anybody has answers please say something i would appreciate it!

I know about a lot of video editors and I don't think there is a free one that can match up to sony vegas. There is a legit free program called virtualdub but is not easy to use and lacks many features vegas has.

Not sure how similar it is to Vegas.

Oh yea forgot about this program. It is somewhat similar to Vegas. It has a steep learning curve though.
Once you master it though you can do more advanced stuff than vegas
