Hi, this is what I'm trying to accomplish, hypothetically speaking.

Hook up through HDMI cables to the Yamaha receiver:

  • Cable box
    Xbox
    PC Desktop
Then an HDMI out of the Yamaha receiver to my TV.

So it would go: 3 thingys to the Yamaha receiver, 1 cable out of the Yamaha receiver to the TV.

Is this possible?

Thank you for help.

My TV is an "old" 1080p Panasonic Plasma TV. The Yamaha models that I'm looking at are the RX-V485 and the RX-V385.

Could I use my Bluetooth headphones to listen to any of the devices?

Like I could watch TV via the cable box and then decide to play some games on my Xbox and switch through receiver?

Thanks.

Can do BT as long as RX has BT TRANSMITTER. In its absence, can always add one.

Switch? well, YEAH, that's what RX do, they switch between all of your sources, ONE AT A TIME, meaning u can do one thing at a time. Can't have family watching TV, then u decide to listen to music without disturbing them, that you cannot do.
