Hi guys, I am trying to open my laptop to put on some thermal paste but can't unscrew this screw to proceed. I do not know the word to describe it so I will upload pictures instead.
First pic is a normal hole that I can unscrew easily.

Second pic is the problem, the screw is stuck in the ring that rotate with the screw when I unscrew it (the screw is fine)

Last pic is the hole of this screw, no ring in there when compared with first pic.

The model is Acer Aspire 4830
There is a dissemble video from a German guy here in case you need it (not my model but basically the same design):

The screw location in the video is:
Back side (from the start of the video): Bottom right
Front side (around 3:11): Bottom left but he removed it because he doesn't have this problem
Full res images are here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/hf1l533hod8yj1g/

Any help will be appreciated.
Please put up with my English because it is my second language

A pair of needle-nose pliers or a set of tweezers may help to hold the ring in place while you loosen the screw. Just remember that you will not be able to put a screw back in that hole since there is no longer anything for that screw to thread into.

Casey

This is a design where threaded inserts are pressed into die-cast frame. Due to tolerance or pressfit problems the insert has loosened. Clamp the head of the screw using a vise-grip locking pliers and then pull the screw along with the threaded insert. The threaded insert must be re-used by inserting it back into the die-cast frame and then carefully applying some Loctite that does not permanently harden. Select the right grade of Loctite or equivalent. Now you can re-use the original screw if the head is still intact. If not, use a new screw of the same specs.

Good luck!

@cklaubur:
Sound good to me. I will try it out and will post the result
@Ubrales:
That is the words: "threaded inserts". Really can't thank you enough, Ubrales. I will try your solution as well.
