Hi All,
I have had lots of equipment for many years and noticed that the pictures while I am playing a video game on a PS4 or PS5, or watching a movie, more often with Video Games, the picture will randomly drop and a black screen will show. There was a time when I also think I heard my receiver make a clicking sound (like it was changing inputs) and it dropped the picture and sound for 1 second or so and then it just came back. More often the picture drops. Today it did it 3 or 4 times while playing some Video Games on PS5.
My setup is an Epson LS12000 Projector, connected to an Atlona 4K HDR HDMI over HDBaseT Reciever that is connected by a Monster 8k 4ft HMDI Cable of 2ft that connects to a transmitter with a Cat Cable, 6 I think, with another Monster 8k HDMI 4ft cable that connects to a Denon AVR-S960H 8K Ultra HD Audio receiver. I had an EDID emulator connected on the receiver output to the TV port. There is an Anker 8K@60Hz HDMI connected from the PS5 to the receiver.
There is no pattern to this problem as there are times I can play games for 8-10 hours or watch movies all day on my PS5 or Nidia Shield with no problem, then other times the issue will happen. This originally happened with a Samsung TV and PS4 and I thought it was a problem with the TV but 2 consoles later and multiple TVs and Projectors later I know it isn't the TV Hardware that is the issue since it has happened on all the TVs I have owned.
