Need HTPC remote

I bought the highly rated Rii i8 wireless mini keyboard on Amazon. It's crap!! I am only 10 feet away and it just does the weirdest and most annoying things...it won't type what I select, it randomly scrolls forever, the touchpad won't work, on and on.

I need a remote from my HTPC that has a keyboard that will work. Recommendations?

Might note that the keyboard above is in 2.4ghz band so it may interfer with wifi.

Do you need a remote 1st and keyboard 2nd or vice versa. If you only need a keyboard a limited amount, there are numerous software programs out there that allow you to use your phone/tabet keyboard.

2.4Ghz bands have their own unique code, so it cannot interfer with other 2.4Ghz bands
