Need laptop advice for husbands xmas present!

How well would this laptop run games like Star Wars and Diablo? We are on a budget of no more than $1400.00

For a budget of $1400 you can do way better than an HP with an A6. I wouldn't get anything less than an Intel i7, something like this:

But if gaming is the primary use of this system building your own desktop might be the better way to go.
