Hello,
i have a Sony Vaio model PCG-4G7P. I live in Los Angeles but got the laptop from my parents that live outside the US (Africa).
Recently, when i go to turn it on I get a blank screen background with white text stating that Windows did not start properly and i can coose the following:
-choose last known good config
-choose safe mode or
-start windows normaly
When I choose any of these options, it looks like its going to start but then i get the same screen with the same comment as if in a loop. Over and over and over.... u get the picture.
I failed to get the start up disk from the folks and would just like to know what i need to do to fix this.
I was told i can download the start up disk for my vaio but can't find it anywhere on the internet or @ sony's website. Any suggestios or helpful tips would be GREATLY appreciated. Also as the laptop is 3-4 yrs old (at most), is it too old to bother fixing? Thanks so much for taking the time.
