Need to connect a dvd to a directv dvr box.Please help. what connectors do I need?

What do you hope to gain by doing that?

Connect your DVD to your TV to play DVD's not the set top box.

You can't connect a DVD to a DTV box. DTV box doesn't have inputs for that. As said above you need to connect the DVD to the TV directly.
If your TV doesn't have enough HDMI inputs you can get an HDMI input selector to expand the number of HDMI inputs.
