need to hide my IP

i need to hide my IP i have hackers messing with me that got my IP through a video game somehow i dont want them to upload a virus and mess up my pc that i spent around 1400$ so far building whats some trustworthy software for doing this? honestly i think they did upload something my computer is acting really buggy now all of a sudden. this is no joke they rebound my keybinds in the game not to mention they went into firefox and opened a thousand new tabs with a scream sound who knows what else they did.

I've used GhostSurf and Hide my IP.. those work altho you have to pay for them.. they work great.

i cant afford to buy anything and i wont put my card number on the internet because they said something about uploading a keylogger..

hmmm.... you could get hi-jack this and remove anything that you don't remember putting on your computer.... also you could use an (AVAST) Anti-Virus program and (Spybot S&D) Anti-Spyware...

Go and buy a cheap router, and install it between your PC and the Internet. The router will act as a firewall between Internet and your PC.

It's completely different story about keeping your PC clean from keyloggers, viruses and other stuff.

If you think they may have had direct access to your machine you should immediately do a clean windows re-install, and start changing your passwords. I would also put a fraud alert on my credit cards.

Using a hardware firewall (router) is also good advice.

i cant reinstall windows because my pc did not come with a windows 8 CD unless there is a way of creating one that i am unaware of.
