A long running dispute with my neighbours has seen some horrors recently and on sunday afternoon at 3pm they killed my pa system and idk jammed/blocked my hi/fi too.
Some facts... i was using a 4 channel fender pa system with an ipod connected to channel 1, it played fine for 10 minuites then the vol dropped to virtually nothing then it went dead. It will not power up at all anymore.
I then reverted to my kenwood amplifier with the ipod connected to the tuner channel. Again fine for 5-10 minuites then a huge buzzing sound and it goes into standby mode. I turn it on a few times and the buzzing noise then standby again and again.
I'm really not a technical person at all but i think they might have some kind of jammer, maybe a am/fm jammer but i cant understand why it would kill/suppress indefinitely my PA system?
I would be very grateful for any advice/info/ideas at all :)
Ps. anyone think i would be safe with the CD channel on my kenwood amp? would that bypass the tuner? and lastly does a pa have anything in common with the tuner channel on the kenwood?

Sound like there may be a problem in either the speakers or the speaker wires.
That is causing the Fender amp to blow a fuse or blow up and the Kenwood amp to go into protection and shut off.
Your neighbors might be at fault if they sabotaged your gear but not by any remote means.

Thankyou for the advice, ill check them :)

Hi
If the speakers turn out to be ok then I would suggest that it may have been a problem with the power supplied to the amps, possibly power surges or an over volt situation.
