There was a program I had that was able to mount network shares, so I could
open my mp3's over the network, and listen to them.
Anyone remember what it was.

You do not have to use special software to open network shares. Just use
standard file explorer there on the lower bar tap the first icon on the
rights. There you will be able to enter path for the shared drive/folder.

That works, but the poster also wants to open files, ie. mp3 files, over the network. You can't open
files across a network using the native File Explorer.

To do that look at Resco Explorer ($$$) or Netrunner (FREE)...

Hmmmm yeah I tried on a friends computer with a different ISP and it works,
a friend with the same isp fails so I dunno, but I got it, thanks.

you can use pocklan or terminal services in ppc..
pocket lan is pretty cuz you can see your drive mappings.

if you use term services, then you get the full login screen.
I use mine to login to a win2003 server. kinda tough.
