New Asus F556UA issue with wifi card - can't find wifi and keeps disconnecting

Hello everybody.

I bought a new asus laptop a week ago and it's been having issues with the network card. It seems to not be able to find networks. At exactly the same spot in my house while my new laptop can barely find my wifi, my smartphone and my old laptop can connect perfectly fine.

Is this a hardware issue or could it be a drivers thing?
Through the device manager I found that the network adapter is Qualcomm Atheros QCA 9377.

You can try updating the drivers, and that 'may' fix the issue. If it doesn't, then you need to contact either the place of purchase, or the manufacturer, to see about a replacement. New laptops shouldn't give problems.

The issue is that I had a friend bring it over from the US to Europe, so I'm not sure what's the case with the warranty etc.

AFAIK the wifi modules are replaceable, so if it is indeed problematic I'm most likely gonna have to change it.

Moving shouldn't change having a warranty, since Asus isn't a in the US only company. I would really suggest contacting them about it.
