Question New Asus gamer laptop and secure boot/tpm

Howdy,

I'm looking to buy a new Asus laptop but almost every brand comes with Windows 11 pre-installed. I'm told that Windows 11 requires secure boot and uses tpm. My question is, "Will I be able to wipe the pre-installation and install my favorite Linux without any problems or screwing around required"?

Less simple answer: It depends. Does your chosen distribution support the hardware, and if not how much time/energy are you willing to put in to get it working?
