New ASUS K555UQ or used MSI GE60

Hello folks.

I am stuck with a challenging choice to make on which laptop to buy. Please help me with your guidance/ opinions.
I have a limited budget and 2 options;
#1
ASUS K555UQ - Brand new
i5-6200U
12gb ram
GeForce 940MX
1 tb HDD

#2
MSI GE60 - 2.5 yrs old, good condition
i7-4700MQ
8gb ram
GeForce GTX 765M
1tb HDD+128 gb SSD

#1 is $140 more expensive then #2
#1 is brand new, #2 is 2,5 yrs old but working fine and in good overall cond.

I will use this laptop for multimedia and occasionally medium gaming.
If you were me, which one would you prefer?

MSI has better specs but I would choose ASUS in this case simply because it's new and under warranty
