New Asus laptop stuck at Endless OS logo

Bought an Asus FX553VD laptop yesterday which came with a preloaded OS called Endless OS. It gets stuck at the Endless OS logo. Shows this when you press f12 after rebooting

"NMI Watchdog: Bug: Soft Lock Up- CPU#3 stuck for 22s! [plymouth:191]"

It was working fine for an hour or two(except the backlight keyboard was not dimming) before this started happening.

If it is brand new and giving you trouble, you need to return it and get a working one.
