Ok so I am currently in need of a new set of headphones or a headset for gaming... I'm looking mainly for something in the price range of 175$, but that's converted from Norwegian currency and shit's more expensive here than most places...
Right now one of my top choices is the AKG K612 Pro paired with a fairly cheap desktop mic (Speed-Link SL-8708 Lucent), also have my eyes on some other cheaper options like the Sennheiser HD 518...
Is this something you would recommend over a gaming headset like the QPad qh-85 or other gaming headsets like the Astro A40...
However I would like a open back design as I really want to be able to pin point where sounds are coming from and I do think a wider sound stage would help with that.
Also I need the headphones to be durable and comfortable...
