New Google Search Engine Revealed

it's a lot faster than the usual Google, at least with Chrome, haven't tested it with other browsers.

As for Bing, I never even bothered. Yes, it's good to have competition, but really I don't see myself using Bing for my searches unless there's something that may only be on Bing which I doubt.

In response to bing obviously (As bing searches tend to be better suited for questions):) reasonable competition doing what people say it does?!?1

I wanna see the difference between the old engine and new engine...
not that I'm implying that our beloved Google is not honest but just to be at ease when am talking about it.

after all, there is no use of improvements that
end-users will notice

searches seem to take about the same amount of time for me between new and old google engines.. i'm getting slightly different results from the two engines put side by side, but nothing has been excluded notably thus far. and btw I tried bing and it rarely comes back with results that i can use in more specific searches. re-wording my searches in bing doesn't seem to vary the results as well as google either. I also find it ironic that it's always been easier to use Google to find things on microsofts web page than it is to use bing or their previous search algorithm for said site.

Yes, It was optimized for those(top 10) searches 😛

[citation][nom]gekko668[/nom]Nice. Looks like google sees bing as a treat and decide to amp up their search engine.[/citation]

Or just like any company they want to improve on their product. Look at how many times MS has changed its search engine. Or Apple as updated its line of computers.

Doing some tests, the results come up slightly different... and I think there's a slight improvement in the new results. As an example, searching for tech questions, the lame Experts Exchange site comes up a litter further down in the results, and a few non-relevant hits got moved out of the top 10 results. Its nothing most people will notice, but, I think there is an improvement... I like it.

The only thing I see is that results appear slightly in different order, depending on who is searching this could be either good or not. By the way, the link at the bottom of the page that says "Dissatisfied? Help us improve." it has been around in the old engine result page @ www.google.com

Dude - you made my day with this comment! Thanks for the laugh! :)

Are the "improvements" to Google actually people paying to have their websites moved up the list? Will we soon have to go to page 2,3+ to get real results from any search engine?
