New laptop Lags

I bought a new HP ENVY 15-K101TX about a month ago.
The laptop has an i5 processor, 8GB Ram, 1TB HDD, GTX850M graphics card.
I haven't installed much apps in it. Yet it is very laggy .
I even uninstalled the anti-virus coz some said that might be the reason.Still it lags...
I need help!!!!

Hi there apac,

You need to test your components.
You can start with your HDD. Most of the HDD manufacturers have their own testing tools. The results will provide S.M.A.R.T report as well as a health status of the drive.
If the drive is healthy, you can continue with testing your RAM. There are quite a lot of RAM testing tools. I can't really recommend you a specific one.
You can perform some CPU stress test as well. Measure the temperature and see whether your system is not overheating.
Update your GPU drivers.
