I'm looking at a new laptop for school next year and I think I have settled on the MSI G60 Pro from xotic pc.

And as a part of their services they offer Redline os overclocking and a gpu overclock. And I was wondering if they were worth it. If it is similar to a desktop overclocking I would feel comfortable overclocking the laptop because I have an overclocked desktop. But I have never overclocked a laptop. And the os overclocking seems a little like a scam for more money, but if there is a noticeable improvement I would consider it.
Thanks for the contributions.

Ehh, I don't know I've never used it.

Well, what you can do is get both os redline and gpu redline boost and if you don't like it you can just go back to default settings (however then you would be wasting more than $70).
