Hi,

Building a new PC for an Oculus Rift VR system, for the kids (yeah, that's it, for the kids!).

Not looking to skimp, but have something that will last a few years - but I don't need to over-spend.

Anything in this list look like it doesn't belong?

This is going to go in the family room - so I'd prefer it to be somewhat quiet.

Trying to keep the budget between the PC and the Rift to total $2k or less. So a better GPU that's $1k more won't be interesting.

Thanks for the feedback!

850W is overkill if you don't go sli/crossfire. I have that same ram and it is nice. Just make sure to set it up to run at 3000. I also have that SSD and HDD you have selected. Both are good choices.

Since you're wanting VR. Drop down to the Z270 chipset and put the savings into a better video card. I shop at micro center so IDK how much you'd save doing that.
