New soundbar can't get DVD player audio through soundbar

5 yr old Philips LCD TV which I have connected to Dish Network. I'm trying to hook up new Blu-Ray player. I looped the HDMI from the Set top box to the Soundbar and the TV sounds good but the Blu-Ray players sound does not come thru the Soundbar. It's connected directly to the TV. Any Ideas how I can get these to all work thru the Soundbar? Soundbar has 2 HDMI's and TV has 3. No optical avail. on the TV.

Connect both Dish box and Bluray to the soundbar with HDMI and feed the HDMI out from the soundbar to the TV.
