New Speaker Recomendation

My old junky creative speakers are starting to have problems, so it's time to upgrade.

What's good in the 5.1 speaker setup these days? I'll probably be upgrading two sets of speakers so it'll be nice if they could last another ten years.

Budget under $500.

Is a wireless setup reliable for speakers, or should I stick with wired?

take a look at the energy classic 5.1 take (or the knock off of them the monoprice 10565). that paired with a decent entry level receiver should be around the $500 mark. for the money its a good entry level home theater set.
