New Speakers

I'm looking to buy a new set of speakers, preferably as a 2.1 configuration, in the $40-60 range.

I will be using these for gaming and playing music from my computer. I'm more interested in quality and durability than power, but the budget is rigid. I currently have a pair of 10-year-old 0.5 Watt each Creative speakers, which have been chirping for the past couple of months.

I've done a little research into an Altec Lansing setup, and I was wondering if anyone has used these, or knows of a better setup within my budget range.

I live in the US, and I primarily use Tigerdirect and Newegg, but I'm open to other carriers.

Perhaps I should ask a different question: which set of speakers do you use and how do you feel about them?

I'm using a Logitech Z-2300 2.1 system for my home use, which I think is very nice, high quality, and a pretty good deal for its price, though unfortunately it is out of your range ($110 about). I have personally always preferred Logitech for the "low" end audio (sub $300 range), as they have always seemed very reliable and have great build quality. I would also say their audio quality is decent for the price, though obviously you get what you pay for. They just seem like a very solid brand, so it's hard to go wrong with them.

Thank you for the reply. I've taken the brand into consideration, and I've added a Logitech setup to my list. If anyone has experience with either this one or the Altec Lansing one above, or has another setup to recommend, please post.

I also found this Logitech setup; it's a tad above my range, but I might be able to fit it if it is of better quality.
