New to old

Bluray

Just bought a sony bluray s6200
It has hdmi output and coax output.

I want to hook it up to a projector that has VGA, s-video.

Audio will go to an old school sony receiver STRDE598.

I had been running a bluray fine until it got a digital goober and wouldn't eject discs anymore "lock"
It had hdmi out, plus audio stereo jacks out.
I ran the hdmi through a cheap converter box to change from hdmi to s-video.. And ran the audio straight to the stereo.

The old stereo has coax.

What do I need to make these systems function in harmony until I get a newer projector and stereo.
