Just having purchased my first HDTV, I was wondering if college football and
the NFL broadcast in high definition. I would love to watch my beloved Ohio
State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals in this glorious format.

All ABC Monday Night games are HD (720p), if your local does HD that is. Fox
did most in HD
last year as did CBS.

Last year CBS did some college games in HD , I did not see any college on
ABC in HD and I can't
receive the NBC station so I don't know about them.

Call up the local stations that carry those games and ask them.

Receiving HDTV Football games depend on mostly where you live..

There a quite a few HD Football games: College is on CBS-HD & Cable
INHD..
NFL is on FOX-HD, CBS-HD, Cable ESPN-HD, & ABC-HD.

Each community has a certain level of network HD reception among both
Cable TV & OTA (Over the air antenna) as a BIG variable...

If any of your local Analog TV channels are not able to pass
HD network HDTV Football programming signals thru their
station to either Cable HDTV or OTA Digital TV, then you
may be out of 'some' HDTV Football luck for the upcoming season.
