nextbook Ares 11A won't charge

I have a Nextbook Ares 11A when I plug it up to charge the light is blinking red instead of solid red we unplugged the battery and plugged the charger back in and light is still blinking red any suggestions on what I should do or what my next steps should be?

Try charging it when the device is turned off and see if you get the same issue. If not, and it actually charges, then your charger may need replacing.

However, if it won't charge correctly no matter if it is turned on or off, then you may need a new battery.
