Nexus 7 2013 avoiding poor connection

So here's the thing I'm staying at a hotel and at some point the connection started effing up. after that i lost connection on my nexus 7 and couldn't connect again because it was "avoiding poor connection".. a quick search online didn't yield useful results and I was in a hurry so i just restored to factory settings and the problem persisted. Now I can do absolutely nothing with the tablet because setting it up requires an internet connection. I haven't tried a different internet connection and won't be able to for about 24 hours. Please help
I'm still on 4.3 if that helps.

Most likely a problem with the poor wifi connection at the hotel. Try it at the lobby / bar or on a different floor again.

Go to settings > Wifi > Advanced There should be a Avoid poor connection check box. Uncheck that. Then try and connect to the internet again.

Android 4.3 for some reason does not have that.

Nope.. its a problem all over.

I don't really think you can do anything until you get home. You don't have this problem as well at home, right?

nope .. but didn't have it at the hotel either until now so I'm worried this will happen with all connections.

It shouldn't, My aunties phone gets this in certain areas in the house, so it may be that you are in a unreachable place. But otherwise just wait till you get home.
