Nexus 7 v2 Boots Into Black Screen

Okay so I was using my Nexus 7 v2 to watch netflix one night and then the next morning I found that it was off so I went to go turn it on. When I turn it on the Google text and unlock icon show up like normal, then the PAN 3+ animation comes up like normal, and then a black screen. I can go into recovery and stuff but not the OS which is weird. Anyone know what to do????

I'm assuming PAN stands for Paranoid Android? Try going into the recovery and flashing, it again. After wiping cache.

I have the same problem. If you use a flashlight you can see the icons on the screen. When you press the power button it turns on the backlight but in two to three seconds it slowly dims to black. This is ridiculous for a company like Google and Asus to sell something this bad. I noticed it happened only a few hours after the new update on 11/22/13. Maybe it's a software issue? I have rebooted twice now and reloaded all my apps. It just happened again last night and I refuse to keep messing with it. I'm having Google send me a new one today. I hope this second one works longer than two months. Good luck.

Are you on stock android? Or have you flashed a custom rom, such as Paranoid android?
