No access to SD card in Android Tablet

I have a Dell Venue 8 Android tablet. I inserted a memory card that had my music and movies on it. I can not locate on my tablet how to get access to the SD card. In the menu for storage it only gives me info for the internal memory. Does anyone one how I can access the SD cart? When I remove the SD card and put it in a different table or my phone it works fine.

Not familiar with the device, but most Android systems come default with an app called "My Files" (or something along those lines) that will let you browse the various folders on your system, as well as your SD card (which would show up as "extStorage" or something similar). Barring that, there are a variety of apps on the Play Store that perform the same function, usually advertised as a file browser of some sort.

I use ES File Explorer on my tablets. It also allows you to view/transfer files from other PC's on your network if setup properly.
