no audio output device is installed

My volume has an x on it and its says, it has no audio output device installed.

This happened when I reformatted my computer. And I've tried everything, searched google, watched tutorials and nothings working.

And its says so, that my computer has a sound device and it s working properly but its actually not.

Please help me, I've been trying for months
