No color converting digital to analog

Have a Sony Trinitron KVT21 which I've connected my old Apple TV to using a converter. But no color. Tried it on another TV and it works fine but not on the Sony. Anyway I can go around this to give me a color picture? I've already tried changing resolution but no dice. 😉

I know it's the TV at fault here despite trying all color settings too.

Open to suggestions.
