Hey guys, I am running windows 7 64 bit on my PC, where my headphones were working about a week ago. I have them plugged into the port on my motherboard, with an audio splitter where my speakers are plugged in. My speakers work fine, but my headphones have no audio output. I have gone into sound settings and set headphones as default device at 100% volume, it shows the green audio levels bar when music is playing, but no sound through the headphones. All drivers are up to date. All suggestions are welcome, Thanks!

Well, I dont have the front panel jack connected because The front panel connections wouldnt reach the motherboard connections. No other headphones work either, but my headphones work in other machines?!?! In this Jack however, my speakers work all day long! Any other suggestions?

Post your build.

What headphones? Or is it a headset?

What motherboard port are you using?

R Click on the speaker icon, choose playback devices. Do they show up? Even as speakers? Are the playback levels turned up?

I am using Sony MDR-XB950BT headphones, and I am using the Green port on the motherboard. Yes, the headphone icon shows up, I have made them my default device, and the playback levels are at 100%, but no sound. The green sound level rises and falls as music plays, but I can't understand why it isn't working!
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A88m Extreme 4+
Am I plugging everything into the correct audio connection?
