I've just bought these Sony SRS A212 computer speakers. And to my displeasure, when I took them home it turns out that they don't even have a headphone socket. Instead there is an input socket which I assume is to connect something like an mp3 player.

Is it possible to connect headphones with the use of some sort of converter?

I thought as much. If the front panel audio is the audio connectors of my motherboard then that won't do because the headphone lead is too short. Otherwise I don't know what the front panel audio is. :??:

I am considering getting some wireless headphones though, I guess that would solve the problem.

Your speaker can be connected directly to any Portable Media Player or to your PC.

Usually the 1st Speaker connect to power supply which hold the amplifier inside, the 2nd speaker connect to the 1st speaker, then an audio input jack from your 1st speaker should be connected to your (MP3 or PC) audio source.
