My company issued PC can only use IE6 because we're not allowed to install anything.

My company only supports IE6, too. They are planning to switch to IE7 next year. However, I discovered the IT guys are using Firefox. So, of course, I thought if they can do it, so can I!!! Bye bye IE.

Windows-infested, LOL. I think if Microsoft had simply been creating a "compliant" browser all along, rather than trying to re-write internet standards, they wouldn't have had such a hard time creating a standards compliant browser.

My current work computer is also still IE6. Microsoft got themselves into such a hole with all their proprietary functionality that no company can afford to update for fear of losing half their internal websites and utilities. I browse the web with Opera, but have to fill out my timecard with IE. IE8 supposedly has a backwards-compatability feature, which may be what they are still trying to test out. I doubt they even remember half the crap they put into IE6 to be able to duplicate it under IE8.

All the computers at my old high school and at my university have IE7 on them.

Though, the university ones also include Firefox.
Who uses IE anyway?
