No signal

My ddk 5000 Besat receiver has input Symbol rate as 2-42 Ms
when i put config as Sumbl rate 40700 and FEC auto and Freq given by
operator i dont see a signal

where as i m able to get the signal for other carriers on 27500 Ms symbol
rate
what cud be the reason??
