No Sound from Philips TV

Hello,
I have a Philips 37PFL5603D with no sound emanating from the speakers.
I have a satellite box connected to the TV via a scart lead and have tried the following:
1. Used a different scart lead.
2. Used a different scart socket.
3. Ensured the TV volume is not muted.
4. Ensured the TV volume is not set to zero.
5. Ensured the TV sound setting is set to Stereo.
6. Ensured no headphones are connected; sound does get produced when using headphones.
7. Discounted the satellite box completely and connected the TV aerial; still no sound.

I am at a loss to what is causing this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked if the speaker option in TV is not switched off? Press the home button on the remote, then go to setup, then go to sound, check if the TV speaker is selected, if not select the TV speaker and check if there will be a sound.

I've checked the sound settings and there is no option for 'TV Speaker'...I can set the TV / headphone volume and balance etc...Thanks!
