Solved! No sound from right speaker - RCA Adapter

I have a pair of speakers that I want to connect to my audio interface. The speakers work fine when connected directly into my computer and also when connected to the headphone jack on the interface. However, when I connect them to the interface using a RCA adapter, the right speaker does not work.
When I switched the chords around, the same issue occurred so it's not the channel. Maybe it's the RCA chord itself, but it has never been used before so I doubt it. Before I go and buy a new one... any ideas?

Since the issue happens with the adapter, first thing I would guess that the issue is with the adapter.
