No speaking voices when playing blu ray movie

I have a Samsung TV, Samsung Blu ray player - anynet connection works fine - sound from unit works great when watching TV - but when I put in a blu ray movie, I only get the background sound, not the dialogue. Why? Same for regular DVD's. I'm sure I pressed the wrong buttons on the remote, but no matter what I do, nothing works. Help!

If you are using the TV's built-in speakers, you may have to tell it to "downsample" surround sources so it can play on 2-speakers stereo, via TV's menu.
