No surround sound

A couple weeks back, I was playing PUBG and I raged and somewhat pulled my earbuds out of the front panel socket too hard and now for some reason if I plug it in all the way sound will only play on the left sound of the earbuds but if i slightly pull the earbuds out, both sides will play. This isn't much of a problem but, there is no surround sound when this happens and annoys me because I cannot tell which side shots are coming from. I have tried many times to plug and switch out HD Audio and ac97 but there is no difference.

Either your port or you plug has been damaged. Try out the earbuds at the back port. If it still doesn't work then you can just get new earbuds. If it works, you can get a extension cable and play with the back port.
