[citation][nom]jmchien[/nom]The only downside is the 600MHz cpu... I have the Sony Satio and at 600Mhz with Symbian^3 it can be a tad slow/laggy[/citation]
Dude... This is the new Symbian 3. Not the old Symbian V3. I know its confusing but this is the first phone/device with this OS.

My mistake... I got symbian^3 confused with symbian s60v5... in any case 600Mhz will be a tad behind by the time the phone comes out, but whatever

Still need internal specs and a demonstration of the OS and UI. Specs aren't everything. No word on specs from the iPhone but we've seen part of the OS 4.0 update and I'm definitely liking what I'm seeing. I would take an underpowered phone with an awesome UI over a powerful phone with a poor UI. Let's hope they nailed it with their OS and interface. Need an upgrade from my Bold and I'm not sure I want to go AT&T/iPhone.

I agree tayb. The new OS has to be solid although I think they have learned a few things since their trials with Maevo on the N900 so we shall see.

I have to say though that something that popped in to my mind when I very first saw the phone, it is rather large. I'll wait to judge but I have a feeling I would rather the same specs and maybe a 2.8" screen to cut the size and weight down.

The vid above also smacks of Apple with the changing colours. Not that I give a shite about marketing.

I used to be a Nokia fan until they went with Symbian. Terribly slow and buggy. Later, their phone design went downhill with way too many buttons and a fat form factor.
One feature I would like on this phone and new 8+ megapixel phones is RAW support. JPG sucks for editing purposes, and it would be a waste having this CMOS and lens with no real editing possibilities.

Also, is there any solid info on the new Symbian OS? *feels out of the loop* =\

Well actually without real optics you can't make any good pictures and on a phone you just can't gave any real optics or sensor. So a phone camera is usually worthless except for quick shots of funny things on the street.

Very COOL photos. I hope it's not edited.
I didn't upgrade my phone for a long time, but this time it seems that an upgrade is reasonable.

guess you didn't read about the Carl Zeiss optics or look at any of the sample pics it took?

Amazing features and everything, except... except the shitty CPU's 600MHZ speed... why Nokia? Why? Their phones are ALWAYS ALWAYS, laggy.. and slow; have a ton of features, but laggy as hell..

I'm gonna go with the HTC HD2 probably, or maybe even iPhone 4G, hmm.. who knows.
