Not able to hear all sounds through my headset

So I'm having an issue where I can only hear some sounds like background music but not voices in videos I am watching. I have tried to check the balance settings but for my Logitech G433 headset there doesn't seem to be any. Unplugging them just a tiny bit seems to have gotten all the sound back but then I am left with the issue of my mic not working because it's not plugged in all the way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Are these sounds coming from the same program? If not you may not have your headphones selected as the default device under playback devices.
